Background

Kripa is a brokerage firm based in Kolkata that provides trading services to active traders and investors. Having operated since the early 2000’s, it offers in-depth trading services across multiple exchanges providing customers choice and flexibility.

Challenge

The organization needed to migrate its business from a traditional offline to online model offering discount broking services. With many other players embracing the online marketplace simultaneously, Kripa wanted to project itself as a trusted leader with easy to use services. The need of the hour, was an attractive brand identity and web platform to engage with prospective and existing clients.

Action

We created the brand name ‘Kripa Direct’, to capture the idea of allowing traders to trade directly without the use of brokers. ‘Trade More. For Less’, was the tagline we anchored the brand to, clearly highlighting the unique pricing proposition of only Rs. 15 per trade. We crafted a bold identity using Red and Yellow to stand out amongst the crowd. All of the above were weaved together on a simple and minimalistic website with a user-friendly interface and integrated online application system.

Result

The launch of Kripa Direct marked the successful transition of the company from an offline to an online brokerage. The last we heard they have signed up with more exchanges and are now a member of the NSE-CM, NSE-FO, NSE-CDS, BSE-CM, BSE-FO, MCX-SX, MCX, NCDEX and NSDL, with an ever expanding network that extends from West Bengal to Orissa, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
