Background
Brainstorm Consulting is a student preparation centre for standardized tests such as the GMAT, GRE, SAT and TOEFL. It serves as a higher-studies placement institute
with several centres in South India, which has assisted Indian students secure admissions in universities across the world including the USA, UK, Europe and Australia.
Challenge
To create a timeless, premium, and intellectual brandmark that projected a highly differentiated world-class image to prospective students, parents and educators by conveying a strong idea visually.
Action
We conducted a flash audit of the category to understand how global and Indian market players such as Kaplan, Barron's and ETS secure brand leadership using their brand equity as an asset to attract students. Combined with our thinking of what an iconic identity should entail this led us to create a breakthrough mark that epitomizes the brand vision of "thought, travel and teaching".
Result
With greater meaning and an ability to stand out in the crowd the recall for the Brainstorm brand skyrocketed prompting opening of 3 more centres across South India, testimony to the successful creation and projection of
the brand.
