Background
Manipal Education is a division of the Manipal Group, a
household name in the education and healthcare sector.
Under the division’s brand umbrella there exists
sub-brands such as Manipal University and The Manipal
Group of Institutions. The brand is viewed as being
trustworthy and quality-oriented.Challenge
According to a survey conducted by the Sri Lankan
Medical Council in the year 2010, Sri Lankan students
who graduated from Manipal College of Medical
Sciences (MCOMS) in Nepal had the highest pass
percentage in
the national Sri Lankan medical board
examinations. Manipal Education wanted an advertisement
that captured and communicated this distinguishing
statistic
to potential recruits.
Action
We conceptualized and designed a stand-alone print ad
for leading Sri Lankan newspapers. The advertisement
captured and conveyed the MCOMS-Nepal advantage in
a descriptive and effective manner.Result
The advertisement generated a strong response in
terms of inquiries and applications, with the institute
registering a higher number of admissions from
Sri Lankan students than in previous years. MCOMS-Nepal
has since become the go-to institution in Sri
Lanka for quality medical science education.
