Background
Major Motion Pictures is a movie production house
based in the United States of America. The company
produces cutting-edge, imaginative and original films
that captivate audiences. This commitment to quality is
the driving force behind Major Motion Pictures.
Challenge
To develop a compelling brand identity for Major
Motion Pictures to launch the organization. When
developing the brandmark it was critical to keep in mind
it would have to be used in the two dimensional conventional
sense but also animated in three dimension for
show at the beginning of feature films.Action
We conducted a category audit that studied the identities
of movie production houses in order to better
understand their heritage. Based on this, we fashioned
a strong brandmark with deep historical significance.
The logo represents a locomotive from a film of one of
the first moving video’s ever shot by the Lumiere Brothers
– L"arrivée d"un train à La Ciotat. The brandmark
celebrates the inception and evolution of motion
pictures.Result
The launch of the brand, led by the identity, was well received
by the audiences and the fraternity alike helping
this production house to make inroads in its
category.
