Rakesh has 16 years of combined international experience working across brand strategy, advertising, marketing and sales in New York, Boston and Bangalore. Prior to founding Crosspollen he worked at global brand and design consultancy Landor Associates as well as advertising powerhouse JWT. He has defined, created and delivered branding and communications programs for clients including 3M, GE, CP Foods, Essel Propack, Avantha, Taj Hotels, Pepsico, Bosch, Dockers, EMC, Turner Construction, Verizon and The WPP Group. His experience spans brand identity, brand positioning, brand architecture, brand engagement, digital branding, naming and tagline development, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, market research, advertising and 360 degree communications. He has also worked on the client side in marketing, product management and sales roles.

Rakesh graduated with an MBA from the globally ranked business school, INSEAD, where he focused on marketing, business strategy and entrepreneurship. During his time there, he was both a scholarship recipient, as well as an exchange scholar at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a BBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Rakesh speaks fluent English and Hindi and conversational French. His personal interests include eastern philosophy, song-writing and cricket.

Damodharan has 15 years of combined creative and design led experience and has worked on a wide variety of engagements with deep focus on design and concept development including brand identity programs, advertising, marketing communications, collateral design, packaging design, exhibit graphics and online design.

In the past he headed branding and design at Sebastian & Sons, worked in advertising boutique hot-shop Teracubed as well handled all advertising requirements across India for India International Travel Mart.

Some of the clients he has helped with branding and design challenges include: Microsoft, APC, CP Foods, 3M, GE, Infosys, Essel Propack, The Global Green Company, GMR Group, Jain Group of Institutions, Zerodha, St. Johns Research Institute, Emmaus Swiss Hospital & School, Sweet Chariot and Orange County.

Apart from his passion of being in the business of branding and communication, he is equally enthusiastic about travel and photography which he believes broaden one’s view of the world.

Satish has over 20 years of experience as an acclaimed Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications Leader, with industry exposure spanning the FMCG, E-Commerce, IT and Services Sectors. His illustrious experience across various organizations include serving as Business Head of MRM//McCann as well as MRM End To End, both part of the McCann Worldgroup family of Agencies. He has also served as General Manager of TBWA\TEQUILA, New Delhi Office, and has held positions at Management Dynamics, Brand Expressions and Enterprise Advertising.

Satish is well-versed across the domains of branding, advertising and marcom including a special focus on brand identity systems and consumer insights management. His envious roster of client experience include Brittania, Titan, The Standard Chartered Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Adidas, Pedigree, Michelin, SanDisk, Moser Baer, RayBan, EVOK, Dabur Ayurveda, Hallmark UK, Twinings Tea, The New Delhi Government, Chivas Regal, Bajaj Capital, Hughes Right Serve, The Zee Group, Ciena India, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Autodesk, Dassault Systemes, SAP, HP, and Fortis Healthcare.

Satish has the unique ability to apply consumer knowledge from multiple sources to business practices across brand drivers, brand communication, brand re-engineering, product development, new media innovation and consumer experiences.

Apart from his passion for all things branding and advertising, he is an extremely avid reader and passionate about photography, films, fishing and cooking. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil.

Patrick is a ‘natural networker’, an inherent ability rooted in his genuine passion and curiosity for people. With close to 20 Years of professional experience across various domains including marketing, sales, customer service and finance, Patrick adds value as a cross-functional thinker. Prior to associating with Crosspollen, he worked at Investors Bank and Trust, Infinity Strategy Group, Maserati and Ferrari, across locations in the United States.

Through the years Patrick has developed an intuitive sense of gauging what clients’ need and how to address business challenges. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as a Certificate in Interior Design from MassBay Community College, Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts.

Patrick has traveled extensively in the Americas and Caribbean and has worked and lived in Miami, Boston, Washington DC, San Juan and several other locations. A dynamic personality – it is difficult to box Patrick into a specific mould, but his diverse interests include haute-couture culture, design aesthetic, food and beverage tastings and social service.

With more than 22 years of professional and entrepreneurial experience, Murtaza banks on a unique blend of strategic thinking, management acumen and motivational leadership to understand and map out potential solutions for our clients’ business and brand challenges.

With a focus on nurturing relationships and client acquisition, he plays a significant role in strengthening and growing the business across all of Crosspollen’s core offerings including brand consulting, offline and online marketing communications solutions. Innovative, dedicated and results-oriented, Murtaza is focussed on viewing the “whole picture” and providing our clients, customized solutions to achieve their strategic and tactical business and brand goals.

Murtaza has earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Business, from the prestigious St. Joseph’s College of Business Administration and is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada. His personal interests are too wide and varied to list here but include – critical thinking, geo-politics, metaphysics, reading, cooking and gardening.

Shefali has 22 years of combined experience in public relations and corporate marketing, having held leadership roles across a variety of sectors. She has led various successful PR campaigns across industries, verticals and issues including Government, Public Policy, Information Technology, FMCG and Healthcare.

Shefali started her career with Ogilvy & Mather as a PR Consultant, where she was recognized as a star performer by their India management team. At Weber Shandwick, she was accorded the Asia-Pacific leadership award for a visionary shift in top-line, which led to sustained momentum in the company’s business endeavours. Shefali also played a key marketing role at Diageo-United Spirits, one of the world’s leading alcobev manufacturers and marketers.

Shefali graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University and has also earned a Diploma in Mass Communications. She is the proud recipient of a MBA, which has further helped develop her business acumen. Shefali’s interests include travelling, reading, current affairs and serving as a “conversation kick-starter”.

Shireesha has always had a profound interest for interacting with customers and engaging them through the fields of marketing and business development. Her professional journey so far has centered on the intersection of business and technology. Before becoming part of the Crosspollen team, she worked at Bosch, Stuttgart, where she focused on digital marketing and online community building, as well as at Hewlett-Packard, Bangalore.

Shireesha earned her Master’s in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France, and also holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering in Computer Science. She is also a Certified Digital Marketing Practitioner.

When not at work, Shireesha enjoys swimming, reading, travelling and Carnatic music. She also volunteers to tutor under-privileged children at a local non-profit. She is fluent in English, Kannada, and Telugu and speaks basic German and French.

Smruti has three years of experience in the media industry, handling marketing and sales for clients across the country. Prior to joining Crosspollen, she worked at Sakal Media Group and Fomento Media, where she developed a keen interest in digital marketing and social media, leading to her pursuing a course in digital marketing from eMarket Education, Bangalore.

Smruti graduated with an MBA from Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies, Goa, specializing in the field of Marketing. Originally from Bangalore and raised in Goa, Smruti is ‘penta-lingual’ with the ability to speak five languages – English, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani and Marathi. When not plotting new digital strategies for clients, Smruti enjoys cooking, travelling and music.

Santhosh’s has always had a strong focus on building a career in SEO and Digital Marketing. Prior to joining Crosspollen, Santhosh actively contributed to the digital presence of several small and medium size enterprises, through independent consulting initiatives. Santhosh constantly keeps abreast of the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and tools.

Santhosh has a Specialized Diploma in Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing from eMarket Education, Bangalore.

He also holds a Masters Degree in Computer Applications from PESIT South Campus, Bangalore affiliated with The Visweswaraya Technological University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University.

Santhosh’s interests include music, movies, traveling, chess and bike rides amongst others. He speaks English, Kannada and Telugu.

Vivek has over 3 years of experience within the branding and advertising domains, including roles such as account management and copy writing. This rich experience has helped him achieve an unusual balance of left and right-brained thinking. His love for duality extends to the fact that he embraces the ideals of Art+Copy thus contributing in holistic creative ways, including that of content generation and graphic design.

Prior to joining Crosspollen, Vivek worked at RK Swamy BBDO, The Other Side and Black Coffee Advertising where he contributed to several notable clients including Sobha Developers, Canara Bank, ACT Fibernet and Sasken Communication Technologies.

Vivek holds a Bachelors in Business Management with a specialization in Marketing from Christ University, Bangalore, and is linguistically able in English, Hindi and Malayalam. His other interests include playing the sitar, travelling, cooking and sketching.

Joseph has over 25 years of experience in various administrative roles with a host of organizations across India. A Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the prestigious Delhi University, he worked at several companies including BKP Media Vision, Jaipur Development Authority, Nitesh Estates and Serve & Volley, before joining Crosspollen.

The man for any hour, multi-tasking and troubleshooting are Joseph’s fortes. These skills make him an effective handler of general administrative duties, office and building management and inter-departmental coordination. Joseph speaks English, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil, and likes spending his free time watching movies, listening to music or with his family.
